Accolades
Happy Birthday Mom.
I don't know where and who I would have been if not for your love + your food...lol
Thank you for flogging me so well that time (I was in primary 3) because I used the money meant for my drawing book to buy meat pie. Thank you. I have never forgotten it. It has helped me to be more responsible with money (both mine and that of others).
Thank you for letting me cook for you those times you were sick in the hospital.
I cooked for myself in school and can still cook for myself now.
Thank you for sending me on errands to meet people I never thought I could measure up to (probably because of their age and achievements), it has built for me a good self esteem.
Thank you for all those clothes and letting me have your first mobile phone (perhaps, using a mobile phone at that age is part of what has now made me more technically minded).
Thank you for all those nights I couldn't sleep (because you prayed- very loudly for me, Otavie, Ethel, and Ola and our future and spouses.) It's all opening up now.
Thank you for all that smile and laughter when we had nothing to eat, it taught me to trust Jesus.
Thank you for being patient with me (especially in my teen-years), you gave me the chance to grow and decide what I wanted to become. Today I am.
Thank you for all that time I messed and you screamed my name at the top of your voice. The volume is still very high in my head and I don't mess up that much anymore.
Thank you for everything. I can't remember them all.
But I can never forget all we've gone through together.
I may not say it often but I LOVE YOU forever.
Thank you for being the first woman in my life; for being my father's love and my care-giver.
Happy Birthday Momsi.
Happy Birthday babe of life.
More grace, long life, prosperity, good and divine health is yours.
